Choose!

*act of choosing something or somebody: a decision to choose one thing, person, or course of action in preference to others
" Think very carefully before you make a choice.
*power to choose: the chance or ability to choose between different things
" They gave us no choice.
*selection of things: a variety of things, people, or possibilities from which to choose
" a wide choice of styles and colors
*chosen object: a person, thing, or course of action chosen by somebody from among a range of possibilities
" Red would not have been my choice.
*best part: the best or most desirable part

The single clenched fist lifted and ready,
Or the open hand held out and waiting.
Choose:
For we meet by one or the other.

Freedom is not merely the opportunity to do as one pleases; neither is it merely the opportunity to choose between set alternatives. Freedom is, first of all, the chance to formulate the available choices, to argue over them -- and then, the opportunity to choose.

I believe that we are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word, and thought throughout our lifetime.

By the choices and acts of our lives, we create the person that we are and the faces that we wear. By the choices and acts of our lives we give to the world wherein our lives are lived, hoping that our neighbors will find our contributions to be of worth, and hoping that the world will be a little more gracious for our time in it.
